It was a Battle of the Birds when Indian Trail took on Westosha Central on Friday. The Hawks walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Falcons. The win was nothing new for the Hawks as they're now sitting on four straight.
Indian Trail got a great performance from Cameron Bentz as he pitched six innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits.
At the plate, Jack Zeller was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples and two runs. That's the most triples he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Shada, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Indian Trail was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westosha Central only posted a batting average of .192.
Indian Trail's record now sits at 17-11. As for Westosha Central, they moved to 11-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
As of now, neither Indian Trail nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
