Football Recap: Leslie County Comes Up Short at Home Against Williamsburg

Leslie County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets and fell 36-6. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leslie County will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Powell County at 7:30 p.m. on September 5. As for Williamsburg, they will challenge Paris at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
