Volleyball Game Preview: St. Edward Eagles vs. Jackson Polar Bears

The St. Edward Eagles will head out to take on the Jackson Polar Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Edward is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

On Wednesday, St. Edward beat Medina 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 26-28, 25-17, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Jackson faced Hudson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Polar Bears came out on top against the Explorers by a score of 3-1. While the Polar Bears didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Jackson got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The final score came out to 32-30, 25-22, 16-25, 25-19.

Jackson is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for St. Edward, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

St. Edward came up short against Jackson when the teams last played back in March, falling 2-0. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
