Baseball Recap: Central Bucks East Wins Going Away Against Pennridge

Central Bucks East had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Pennridge on Friday. The Patriots blew past the Rams 7-0. The Patriots not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 28th (when they won 17-10).

Central Bucks East got a great performance from Michael Colbert as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. Colbert also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Patriots are 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Tyler Muzsi was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Nick Mutchler also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

Central Bucks East's record is now 6-7. As for Pennridge, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.
