Football Recap: ABF Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Coral Gables

ABF Academy had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Coral Gables Cavaliers, falling 20-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Desmon Beckham threw for 61 yards on four of ten attempts. Chris Urdaneta was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards. On the ground, Terrell Jones rushed for 38 yards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. ABF Academy will venture away from home to take on Somerset Academy South Homestead at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Coral Gables, they will head out to face off against Miami Beach at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th.
