Sandpoint was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 16-9 to the Moscow Bears. Even though they lost, the Bulldogs' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Cadence Skibitsky and Arah Stevens stepped up to the plate in a big way. Skibitsky went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Stevens went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Skibitsky is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Avery Inge, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Sandpoint's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Moscow, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-14.
Coincidentally, Sandpoint and Moscow will both be playing Lewiston the next time they take the field. The Bears will host the Bengals at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
