Football Recap: Sacred Heart of Jesus Takes a Loss

Sacred Heart of Jesus fell victim to Schurr and their airtight defense on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 673rd, while the Spartans are ranked 228th).

Sacred Heart of Jesus is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10. As for Schurr, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Sacred Heart of Jesus will square off against St. Bernard on Monday. The Vikings' defense has only allowed 8.6 points per game this season, so the Comets' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Schurr, they will face off against Ramona at 10:10 a.m. on Saturday.
