Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Big Spring

The Liberty Patriots will head out to challenge the Big Spring Steers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Liberty will bounce into Friday's match after beating Andrews, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Patriots walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mustangs on Tuesday. That's two games straight that Liberty have won by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Big Spring unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against Lake View, falling 6-0. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Big Spring's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Big Spring's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-4. As for Liberty, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
