Coronado's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Monterey Plainsmen by a score of 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Plainsmen: they've now won six in a row.

Coronado walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 19-25, 25-11.

Coronado's win bumped their record up to 18-14. As for Monterey, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Coronado will take on rival Amarillo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Monterey is set to square off against their familiar foe Plainview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
