Basketball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest and Field squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Northwest had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Field Falcons by a score of 47-44. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.

It was another big night for Delilah Rahe, who went 7-for-13 en route to 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals for Field. Rahe is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Mckayla Miller was another key player, putting up six points and five assists.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 21-3. As for Field, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Field, they will square off against Streetsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Streetsboro sitting on eight straight wins and Field on four.
