Volleyball Recap: Geneva Comes Up Short

Geneva was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Holy Cross Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2016.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-11.

Geneva's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Holy Cross, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Coming up, Geneva will square off against Keystone at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holy Cross, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against The Christian School at Castle Hills on the 23rd.
