Soccer Game Preview: Orangeburg-Wilkinson vs. North Charleston

The Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins will head out on the road to take on the North Charleston Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Orangeburg-Wilkinson has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 6.

Orangeburg-Wilkinson fell victim to Hanahan and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Hawks. While losing is never fun, Orangeburg-Wilkinson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 189th, while Hanahan are ranked 44th).

Meanwhile, North Charleston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Oceanside Collegiate Academy, falling 10-0.

Orangeburg-Wilkinson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for North Charleston, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Orangeburg-Wilkinson suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to North Charleston when the teams last played back in March. Can the Bruins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
