The Newfane Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 49-20 loss at the hands of Wilson. Newfane was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-4.

Leading Wilson to victory were Rian Faery and Peyton McInnis. Faery scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while McInnis scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five blocks. Faery hasn't dropped below three steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Elia, who scored four points.

Newfane's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Wilson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Newfane does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wilson won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Lancers at 2:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Elba will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
