Preview: San Tan Charter Roadrunners vs. San Carlos Braves

San Tan Charter has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. The San Tan Charter Roadrunners and the San Carlos Braves will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

San Tan Charter has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 23 points or more this season. They blew past Fossil Ridge 84-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

San Tan Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zaire Richardson led the charge by scoring 16 points. The game was Richardson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Peyton Lubash, who scored 18 points.

Meanwhile, San Carlos waltzed into their game Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They put the hurt on Globe with a sharp 73-47 victory. San Carlos' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leshawn Browning continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Leandro Simbolo, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and six steals.

San Tan Charter is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for San Carlos, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Everything came up roses for San Tan Charter against San Carlos in their previous meeting back in February as the team secured a 74-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Tan Charter since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
