Baseball Recap: Chanute Comes Up Short

Chanute lost to Fort Scott back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Comets fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 7-6.

Chanute's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-6. As for Fort Scott, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9.

Coming up, Chanute will take on Labette County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Scott, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-1 win against Parsons on the 14th.
