Basketball Recap: Connally Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Connally can now relate to. They lost 88-62 to the Wheatley Wildcats on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Cadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 378th, while the Wildcats are ranked 138th).

Connally's loss dropped their record down to 21-14. As for Wheatley, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-7.

While Connally had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
