Volleyball Recap: Escondido Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Escondido challenged El Camino on Thursday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Wildcats. The Cougars have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Escondido was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-9, 25-23.

Leading El Camino to victory were Analecia Curran and Makayla Boone. Curran had five digs and five aces, while Boone had seven digs. Curran is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served five or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Escondido now has a losing record of 12-13. As for El Camino, they pushed their record up to 26-10 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Escondido will face off against rival Canyon Crest Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, El Camino is set to challenge their familiar foe Ramona at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
