Basketball Recap: Potts Camp Takes a Loss

After flying high against Tremont on Monday, Potts Camp came back down to earth. The Cardinals had to suffer through a 68-37 loss at the hands of the Delta Streets Academy Lions.

Potts Camp lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was De'Aaunte Bell, who posted six points and 13 boards. Another player making a difference was Derrion Johnson, who put up six points and five steals.

Potts Camp has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Delta Streets Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Potts Camp will face off against Myrtle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals will be up against the Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 64.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Delta Streets Academy, they will square off against Northpoint Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
