Baseball Game Preview: Bravo Knights vs. Eagle Rock Eagles

The Bravo Knights will take on the Eagle Rock Eagles at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bravo is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Bravo blew Fairfax out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Fairfax got their revenge. The Knights fell just short of the Lions by a score of 5-3.

Michael Rendon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Bravo: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-13 otherwise.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eagle Rock). They put the hurt on Lincoln with a sharp 13-3 victory on Friday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Eagle Rock let Jet Eells and Jaden Jimenez run wild. Eells went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double, while Jimenez went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Eells a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ayden Encarnacion, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Eagle Rock hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive contests.

Eagle Rock's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Bravo, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

Bravo suffered a grim 14-2 defeat to Eagle Rock in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
