On Saturday, Mililani faced Punahou in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Mililani Trojans walked away with a 68-60 win over the Punahou Buff n' Blue. The victory was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on three straight.

When it comes to explaining why Punahou lost, don't look at Tanoaalofa Scanlan. Despite the final result, he posted 26 points. Those 26 points gave Scanlan a new career-high. Zion White was another key player, putting up eight points.

Mililani has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Punahou, they moved to 8-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Mililani didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-32 loss against St. Louis on the 14th. As for Punahou, they will take on Oak Hill Academy in a tournament on Tuesday. One thing working in Punahou's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
