South Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Black River Pirates. One positive for the Trojans, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

South Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Black River, their win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-19.

South Central and Black River could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. South Central (ranked 792nd) will meet Danbury (ranked 235th) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Black River will face off against Loudonville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday down 529 places (776 vs. 247).
