After a string of three wins, Hays's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Silver Lake Eagles.

While Hays was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23.

Zoe Winter paced Hays' offense, picking up four kills. Winter got some help from Brooke Bieker and her nine assists.

Among those leading the charge was Jaylie Whitehead, who had nine digs and three assists.

Hays' defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Silver Lake, their win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 31-1.

Hays wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Rossville on the 4th. As for Silver Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Perry-Lecompton on the 4th.
