Softball Recap: East Newton Comes Up Short

East Newton kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Concordia Fighting Orioles by a score of 2-1.

The win was the 30th in a row (dating back to last season) for Concordia, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, East Newton will face off against Lockwood at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Concordia, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-3 defeat against Diamond on the 22nd.
