Basketball Game Preview: Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars vs. Bethesda Christian Patriots

Greenwood Christian Academy and Bethesda Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars will challenge the Bethesda Christian Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Greenwood Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Center Grove and fell 42-39. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Trojans are ranked 112th).

Meanwhile, Bethesda Christian had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against International by a score of 43-36 on Friday.

Bethesda Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Greenwood Christian Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-35 loss to Bethesda Christian in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Thankfully for Greenwood Christian Academy, Cooper Jackson (who went 8 for 10 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
