Baseball Recap: Splendora Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Splendora won against Pasadena last Friday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Splendora Wildcats skirted past the Crosby Cougars 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Caleb Ricks, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.

Splendora's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Crosby, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11-1 record this season.

Splendora will have a chance to go back-to-back against Crosby: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
