Volleyball Recap: Ponder Lions vs. Tatum Eagles
Ponder extended their postseason success on Friday against Tatum. Everything went their way against the Tatum Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Ponder never let Tatum on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-19, 25-20.
Makaylee Ruiz was nothing short of spectacular: she had 18 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more digs the last three times she's played.
Ponder is on a roll lately: they've won 21 of their last 22 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 37-5 record this season. As for Tatum, they moved to 40-6 with that loss, which also ended their 20-game winning streak.
