Baseball Recap: Round Lake Takes a Loss

Round Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Grayslake Central Rams, falling 18-1. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Round Lake saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Russ, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. Dylan Dittmer also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Round Lake's record now sits at 1-8. As for Grayslake Central, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.

While Round Lake had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
