Basketball Recap: Lebanon Falls Short of Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lebanon can now relate to. They took a 44-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Braves on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Braves are ranked 99th).

Despite the loss, Lebanon still got an impressive performance from Claire Boling, who went 6 of 13 en route to 15 points and four steals. Leila Richards was another key player, putting up five points.

Lebanon is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.

Lebanon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, they will face off against Danville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Danville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory likes a good challenge.
