Melrose came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Floyd Broncos 3-0. The Buffaloes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Broncos, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Melrose was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-11, 25-11.

Braylan Morgan paced Melrose's offense, picking up 15 kills. Morgan got some help from Kailey Jackson and her 29 assists. Morgan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Melrose's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Floyd, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Melrose is set to challenge their familiar foe Lake Arthur at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Floyd will face off against rival Elida at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
