George Washington lost to Gateway back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Patriots came out on top against the Olympians by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 19-25, 25-16.

Wilson Azuaje paced George Washington's offense, picking up 11 kills. Azuaje got some help from Phillip Abad and his 12 assists. Jhoan Salas and Travis Nguyen kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with five aces apiece.

George Washington's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Gateway, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

George Washington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Rangeview on the 3rd. Gateway has also already played their next contest (against Westminster), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
