Gideon had won four straight games and Jalynn Ford did her part to make it five on Monday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Advance Hornets with plenty of help from Ford, who had 18 digs and four assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Gideon had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-21.

Gideon's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Advance, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Gideon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Cooter on the 23rd. As for Advance, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against St. Vincent on the 24th.
