Halifax Academy extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Payton Odom. The Vikings blew past the Albemarle School Colts 3-0 on Thursday thanks in part to Odom, who had 23 assists and seven aces. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 12 games she's played.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17, 25-10.

Halifax Academy found their leader in sophomore Odom, who had 23 assists and seven aces.

Halifax Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matchups.

Halifax Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Albemarle School, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Halifax Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Northeast Academy on the 23rd. As for Albemarle School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech on the 22nd.
