Softball Recap: Watertown Takes a Loss

Watertown came into their game on Sunday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the St. Paul Catholic Falcons, falling 9-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-6 back in April.

Watertown now has a losing record of 2-3. As for St. Paul Catholic, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.

Looking ahead, Watertown will welcome Thomaston at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Paul Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-4 win against Torrington on the 19th.
