Volleyball Recap: Giltner Triumphs + How To Watch

Giltner hadn't done well against Deshler recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Hornets walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Dragons. The Hornets were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Dragons, so the Hornets were just returning the favor.

Giltner not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Deshler between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18.

Peyton Schutt paced Giltner's offense, picking up seven kills. Schutt got some help from Avery Reeson and her 17 assists.

The win got Giltner back to even at 1-1. As for Deshler, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Giltner will head out to take on College View Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Deshler, they will venture away from home to face off against Freeman at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
