Recap: Conway Christian Eagles vs. Southeastern Christian Academy Warriors
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Conway Christian Eagles ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They snuck past Southeastern Christian Academy with a 45-40 victory. The win was just business as usual for Conway Christian, who after three games remain undefeated this season.
Despite the loss, Southeastern Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Ella Gregory dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten steals. Those ten steals set a new season-high mark for her.
Conway Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conway Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lowcountry Prep at 5:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Harrells Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
