Basketball Game Preview: Glendale Prep Academy Griffins vs. Trivium Prep Crimson Knights

The Glendale Prep Academy Griffins will take on the Trivium Prep Crimson Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

On Monday, Glendale Prep Academy humbled Wickenburg with an 82-38 victory. The Griffins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trivium Prep). They took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 77-49 victory over Mountainside. The win was some much needed relief for the Crimson Knights as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Glendale Prep Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Trivium Prep, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 4-16.

Glendale Prep Academy ended up a good deal behind Trivium Prep when the teams last played back in February of 2021, losing 52-36.
