The Boone Braves will be taking part in a tournament against the Freedom Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Boone's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Freedom has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Boone will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Colonial on Monday. The Braves were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Grenadiers. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.

Emma Wolfgramm was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kalyn Woods, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Boone was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Freedom lost 22-2 to Innovation on Friday.
Freedom saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylin Braasch, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Camila Ramos was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.
Boone is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Freedom, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Boone has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Freedom struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Boone took their win against Freedom in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 20-0 score. Do the Braves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
