Recap: San Miguel Vipers vs. Palo Verde Titans
The San Miguel Vipers suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Palo Verde at home and fell 85-42. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for San Miguel in their matchups with Palo Verde: they've now lost four in a row.
Palo Verde's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kameron Pippen led the charge by scoring nine points along with seven steals and six assists. Another player making a difference was Rozzy Martin, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
San Miguel's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Palo Verde, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5.
San Miguel will head out on the road to take on Empire at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Empire is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Palo Verde, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Safford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Safford knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Palo Verde likes a good challenge.
