Lake Highlands waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They put the hurt on the MacArthur Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lake Highlands took every set by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-6, 25-9.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Highlands to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carrigan Anderly, who had 26 assists. Anderly has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Holmes, who hit 88.2% for 15 kills and six aces, five digs, and one block.

Lake Highlands was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 15 aces in three consecutive matches.

Lake Highlands' victory bumped their record up to 27-7. As for MacArthur, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-19.

As of now, neither Lake Highlands nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
