Softball Recap: Palmerton Comes Up Short

Palmerton managed to slip by Northwestern Lehigh the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Blue Bombers came up short against the Tigers on Friday, falling 7-1. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Palmerton has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Northwestern Lehigh, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Palmerton will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Notre Dame-Green Pond at 4:00 p.m. As for Northwestern Lehigh, they will face off against Catasauqua at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Rough Riders at the right time seeing as the Rough Riders are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
