After losing to Riverside the last time they met, Pemberton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hornets came out on top against the Rams by a score of 8-5 on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Hornets have beaten the Rams on their field since May 2, 2023.

The win made it two in a row for Pemberton and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Riverside, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Pemberton will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Winslow Township at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Riverside, they will head out on the road to face off against Burlington City at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
