Evan Powell Turns in Season-Best Performance

On Friday, Cajon had to settle for second even though Evan Powell put up the best numbers he has all season. Powell threw for 431 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt. He has become a key player for Cajon: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Powell is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Redlands East Valley on Friday. Powell threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries the last time he and the Wildcats duked it out back in September of 2023.

On the year, Littles has caught those 3 touchdowns while averaging 64.3 receiving yards per game.
