Basketball Game Preview: Locust Grove Pirates vs. Catoosa Indians

Locust Grove is 1-9 against Catoosa since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Locust Grove Pirates will take on the Catoosa Indians in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Locust Grove is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-58 heartbreaker at the hands of Ketchum. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Pirates have suffered since January 30th.

Meanwhile, Catoosa put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Okmulgee 81-66.

Locust Grove's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Catoosa, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Locust Grove ended up a good deal behind Catoosa in their previous matchup back in January, losing 77-58. Can Locust Grove avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
