Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Math & Science College Preparatory Sharks, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Democrats of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-13.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Math & Science College Preparatory, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Jefferson will square off against rival Dr. Maya Angelou Community at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Math & Science College Preparatory is set to take on their familiar foe Los Angeles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
