Softball Recap: Burbank Comes Up Short

Burbank fell victim to Crescenta Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.

Burbank's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Crescenta Valley, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-10 record.

Looking ahead, Burbank will square off against Hoover at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Tornados have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Crescenta Valley, they will take on Muir at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season.
