Marshall has gone a perfect 10-0 against Mountain View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Vikings at 3:30 p.m. Marshall will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Marshall is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 22-7 margin over El Monte on Wednesday. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Mountain View had taken Gabrielino down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Vikings fell 8-3 to the Eagles. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

ALEX MORENO put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in May of 2025. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.

In other batting news, LUKE DAVILA made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Marshall has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Marshall got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March against Mountain View by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
