The Clarke Prep Gators will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Sparta Academy Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On December 11th, Clarke Prep had to suffer through a rough 66-28 loss at the hands of Morgan Academy. Clarke Prep has not had much luck with Morgan Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Sparta Academy fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Pickens Academy on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 60-53 to the Pirates.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Logan Robinson, who scored 14 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Cook, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Clarke Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Sparta Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
