Baseball Recap: Mercersburg Academy Comes Up Short

Mercersburg Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-4 to the Hun Raiders. The Storm were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Drew Wishard made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Tyson Brown, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Mercersburg Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hun, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

While Mercersburg Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
