Soccer Game Preview: Van Nuys vs. Kennedy

The Van Nuys Wolves will square off against the Kennedy Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Van Nuys' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Kennedy has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Van Nuys is coming into the match fresh off a high-scoring shootout with Fulton that saw the pair combine for 19 shots on goal. Van Nuys' defense stepped up to hand Fulton a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by nine goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Fulton from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Jimmi Osorio led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Kennedy's offense. They fell just short of Chatsworth by a score of 1-0 on Monday.

Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Van Nuys, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
