Baseball Recap: Valley Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Del Norte Knights a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Zach Toledo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Stefan Rivera, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Valley hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 6-2 when they post two or more strikeouts.
